Ugh - Point Proven!

Saturday, November 30, 2013

I ended up not exercising yesterday. Or making bread. Or cleaning out the pantry. I ended up with a low-grade headache all day and decided to be good to myself and just rest.

I woke up with a nasty headache this morning, but pushed through it. I made the bread - but it didn't turn out well. (Actually tossed it out.) I got the pantry cleaned, and didn't stop there, I ended up cleaning my whole back porch (with my daughters help). I was very happy with how much I had accomplished, but yesterdays headache returned and was getting worse by the minute. I tried a decongestant, but nothing. I laid down, no relief. The pain kept getting worse and I finally had to admit it was a migraine. The first one in over a year. Luckily I still had some meds left.

So, wheat products Thursday, low-grade headache Friday, first migraine in over a year on Saturday. Coincidence? I doubt it. I've had low-grade headaches after the last couple times I've had wheat, but this is the first time it's been a full-blown migraine. Now, if that's not enough motivation to stay away from wheat, I don't know what is!

    Hey Skye,

I know just what you are talking about. I had no idea I was gluten intolerant.
Of course, I am surely thankful that I caught this before it went into something

Okay, could it be the gluten? I have no idea what people experience when they have gluten intolerance in their system. Have you talked to a dietician or a doctor about that?

Nice seeing you again. Staying awhile? Hope so. How's the riding going? You and DH have riding trips planned for the holidays? BTW, after 4 shopping here is not clear and easy. But I'm totally done with all my decorating, shopping, cards, etc. No holiday stress whatsoever. (smiling)

Good idea to stay away, looks pretty definitive.
