What was he thinking??

Tuesday, December 03, 2013

You never know what will come out of a 6 year olds brain and mouth!!

Yesterday, while at their house doing laundry, he came up to me and asked, "How old do you have to be to die?" At first I was taken aback. Then we discussed that a person can die at 1 day old or at 115 years old. They can be very sick and die at 2 years old, or have a bad car accident and die. Then to have someone other than myself give him these answers, we went to the 15 year old and asked him the same question. The answers were basically the same. I texted his Mom and she was surprised also by this question also.

This child has always come up with some question or statement that has surprised us.

Then I tried to get their TV remote to work and checked the batteries. Sometimes if you just wiggle them its enough to get them working again. Surprise, no batteries at all. Mom borrowed them to make the wreath on the front door work. GS said, "Does it really (paused while thinking of the word to insert) REQUIRE batteries to work?" So we borrowed the batteries from Mom's TV remote and wah-la it worked.

Have a Sparkly day and may your minds be as sharp as a 6 year old.

Deanna
