The day began with shopping errands at a couple of stores. Groceries and paper/cleaning products mostly. I also had to go by Sports Authority and buy some swimming gear for Isaac to use when Kenzie takes him to the Rec Center for physical therapy. Then I went to the car wash and cleaned the filthy van inside and out.
Once home I got everything put away and then got settled in to scrap the Christmas photos. That didn't take as long as I thought it would, but I did finally finish a movie I had begun a week ago. Then I headed outside to take the nativity scene down along with the lights in that area. Next up was a nap, but unfortunately I had some noisy children and it didn't happen.
After supper I decided to go through my homeschool co-op stuff and start getting things ready to head back. (Jan. 6) I sent a few emails, typed up info for the next board meeting and for our opening worship and got the draft started for the email that needs to go out later in the week. Feels better knowing that it is all ready and things that are coming up soon are identified.
Now I'm Sparking while the kids watch yet another Star Wars video. I like Yoda, but enough already. LOL
Tomorrow we will all be going to church together (Yeah!) and will have to stay a little longer than usual as Maegann is singing during 2nd hour. After her rugged time at the other church for so long it makes my heart happy to see her so excited again about going to church and participating! The boys are finally at the place where they will be going to the other church once a month instead of every week and I'm praising God for that change!
5% Challenge - Team Daisy (hopefully): The 5% challenge community is starting their countdown activities this week so here are the first two assignments.
1. Intro & Exercise Plan
I am hoping to be on Team Daisy once again. I think this would be my third time with them. My exercise plan is not as "active" as it used to be due to the weight loss program I am doing at this time. Basically I try to get strength done 3x/week and cardio 2x/week. I use Wii Fit Plus and my recumbent bike at home as well as those "natural life fitness" moments.
2. Nutrition Plan
I am using "Shape Reclaimed" under the supervision of a doctor. I have a restricted food list, but the good part is this is how I will eat once finished along with adding back in healthy fats. What do I eat? Fresh fruits and veggies and lean proteins.
