January back surgery put on hold as I see another Doctor.

Hello everyone, yes you read it right............the back surgeries have been put on hold or maybe called off all together. Well, the ones in Springdale, AR that is.

I went in and saw my Attny on the 18th of this month (Dec) and I told him about the feelings I had about having to go 66 miles away from home to have 2 major back surgeries when I knew there were qualified DR's right here in my home town that could do the same surgeries or even ONE surgery to help my back. I told him that it made me so anxious to think about my DH driving 132 miles round trip EACH day when the weather might be BAD just to be there with me but then to take care of the animals back home. I also let him know that when I thought of being put UNDER twice it just gave me a really BAD feeling and so he took all that to my Worker's Comp company and they canceled the surgeries in Springdale (for now) and I am to see a new DR here in Fort Smith that I have heard nothing but good things about (he did a back surgery on one of my Mom's good friends (I knew this lady all my life) and when I talked to her she sang this DR's praises.

So I am once again NOT HAVING BACK SURGERY in January but will be getting in to see this new DR as soon as he has an appt open. Then we will discuss back surgery RIGHT HERE IN MY HOME TOWN at a HOSPITAL I am very comfortable being in which is about 8 minutes from my house.

So once again ladies and gents we are on a stand by until I see the new DR but I must tell you I FEEL WONDERFUL ABOUT ALL OF THESE CHANGES and to me that is what really counts.

So now I am as stress free as I have been in MONTHS and loving it. I promise to keep you all updated when I see the new DR and what he says.
