Where did 2013 go? I blinked and it was over! But looking back, it was actually a productive year for me. I decided to go back to school and get my BSN. I am already an RN, but have been working on the pre-req's to get enrolled in a BSN program. In May, I finally did it! Now, I have one more semester and I will graduate! A life long dream about to come true.
Needless to say, my Spark journey came to a skreeching halt in 2013. I stopped and started several times. But when you work full time AND go to school full time, something has to give! and for me....it was my health and fitness program. I slowly blossomed into the heaviest weight I have ever been. ugh. even my fat clothes are TIGHT!
Now I am looking forward. My work and school load is just as heavy this semester. But I am only attending one school this sememster (as opposed to two for the last two semesters). And with graduation looming in just 5 months, I want to lose some weight! I know I can't shed it all by graduation, but perhaps I can lose the weight I've put on this past year. At least, I hope so.
I've decided I'm only going to weigh once a month now. I obsess over weekly weigh-ins and sometimes weighed myself more than once a week. If I didn't lose, I got discouraged. I've heard from successful losers that monthly weigh-ins worked for them, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I also updated my goals in SP and I plan to stay within my daily calorie allowance.
I plan to stay focused on good food choices and incorporating exercise at least 5-6 times a week. Let's face it, if I can make these small changes in my life....I am bound to lose SOMEthing!
Tracking my nutrition and fitness is all the SP activity that I will have time for this semester.
I apologize in advance to all my Spark friends....I won't have time to answer messages. I'll barely have time to track my food/fitness logs on a daily basis. But please know that I enjoy hearing from you and appreciate any and all encouragement you've given.
