Coughing is not a hobby

Tuesday, January 07, 2014

I've been sick for a month. I'm sick of being sick! I have a nasty bout of bronchitis. Oh how I wish I could get more than three to five hours of sleep a night. I can't stop coughing. Its getting better but not fast enough for me. A week ago I couldn't even sit up for more than a few minutes at a time. So why am I complaining. I'm bored! I should be cleaning something, running around working out...
Not helping may be the limited heat in my house. My central heat went out Christmas Eve morning. I have portable heaters, its not as bad as it sounds. Exhale everyone this is California. Still, I wouldn't mind the warmth of hot flash, but they seem to have disappeared about three weeks ago.
I'm mulling over with the idea of walking on the Wii Fit Board. I cough from sitting so what the difference if I cough during a 10 minute step program. Not exercising is driving me crazy.
I ended the fall challenge sick. I will begin the winter challenge sick. Sparkpeople is always giving me a trophy for consistency so this is just another area I have earned one.
I have a couple of new workout weapons on my side. I bought a new Leslie Sansone DVD. This is the 5 Mega Miles. I can use my older dvd's again too because I received a new DVD player for Christmas. I was clueless it was broken until we had a storm in November that kept me from streaming my usual routine. Drum roll please-I bought a Fit Bit. I would really like to know how much I am walking. I think it will be a great motivational tool. I also joined a new team one of the Leslie Sansone walking teams, but I've been so sick I haven't been active on it at all.
Stay warm, stay safe and stay healthy everyone.
