Hey there all. So I've had a pretty sucky last few days, all of my own making. I would like to blame hormones. I can't control it all, I CAN control myself and my silly head. I will not continue on this way, feeling sorry for myself and taking it out on everyone around me. Sadly, some days are like that, but it stops TODAY!
So what do I usually DO to get out of this particular but sadly familiar rut?
This ALWAYS works if I can get out of my own head long enough to apply effort.
There are two parts.
I'm going to start a gratitude list. I'm going to jot down everything, big or small as it comes to my mind, what I am grateful for? Typically the list gets so long and takes so much time I give up writing it all down, BUT my head gets so full of gratitude and happy thoughts - GOAL MET!
What are you grateful for? Please share because I need to be lifted UP!
I'm going to serve someone else. "Lose yourself and go to work!" Yes, I'm going to reach out to someone or many someones who also need to be lifted. A phone call, a smile, a few kind words to the worker bees at the store, how many times can I say thank you today? How can I serve my family in a place of gratitude? These are small ideas to be explored. Inspiration will come!
THIS IS WHAT I KNOW, you cannot focus on thinking of ways to serve others, following through on those ideas AND feel sorry for yourself simultaneously. What do you THINK?
