On this wintery cold windy day, memories keep me going----
like---this old school house from the Port Perry, Ontario, area--sorta like the one I attended in London--
Remember these old desks?----
My Mom used to be a teacher at our school-sometimes she even taught the class I was in----I was proud to be her daughter---I felt special!-
One thing that happened in that school---We had "air raid" practice---
Do any of you remember that?
We had to get under the desk and cover our heads when the teacher flashed the lights------

...much like the children in this picture-(If you look closely, they are under the desks)
These practices gave me nightmares at home----any flash of light, I thought a plane from Russia was coming over to bomb us!
Funny how we were raised compared to the children to-day----
We ran all over--never dreamt that anyone could kidnap us---
Our 2 wheel bikes were our best friends---
We never gained weight--We never stopped long enough---played "'Hide 'n Seek"---"Kick the can"--build forts----Exercise was fun---
To-day the "Dreadmill" replaces all that--
Life is good to-day-----but--the "Quarter Pounder with Cheese" has replaced Orange Crush---Remember orange crush?-Does anyone drink that now?--
Good morning Sparkly People-Time to get moving--
Maybe I will get to play in the snow to-day!

Maybe we need to act a bit silly to-day-!! Lord Love A Duck!
