fed up

i was losing weight quite well until i had my shoulder replacement april 18th because my sodium went low she won't let me drink my wonderful 8 to 10 glasses of pure unadulterated water but now i can only have one glass of mineral water a day as it has sodium. to top it off she wants me to eat salty snacks and not exercise because when you exercise you sweat and that means the sodium comes out. so add it all up no water, no exercise, salty snacks what does that add up to usually weight gain i am staying the same right now but i am afraid i am going to blow up like a balloon tamar

Hi. :) I think it's important to follow your doctor's orders, too. She IS trying to help. :) Just do the best that you can to work with what you can. When you CAN do exercise, try your best to get the most out of it that you can - DON'T hurt yourself, PLEASE. :) Then, rejoice that you managed what you managed!! :D Take joy in eating food that you can eat that is good for you - you are then honoring the body that God gave you. :) Oh, I wish you the best!
You ARE worthy, right now as you are! Peace. :)

I saw your introduce blog thingy. I have asthma , type 2 diabetes, and to top it off I have high blood pressure, so we have some things in common. My diabetes is controlled by diet, exercise and prayer. I am a emotional eater, and pms drives me to the table too. Motivtion is there most of the time unless I give into the voice that says don't exercise today do it tommorrow --then tomorrow ends up being the next day. Being sick and trying to lose weight is not easy. But I have never been the kind to give and throw up my hands. Soduim I can't get away from. It is something about it. I don't use the salt shacker but I don't use whole food all the time either. I must relearn how to eat. I will encourage you but I need encouraging too. See you in the high blood pressure team.

    Hi Tamar...

Even if it takes you a little longer to lose the weight, following your doctor's orders is the most important. If you're able to watch your calories, you shouldn't gain weight, even if you can't exercise.

I hope you and your doc can get this straightened out soon!!!!
