Week 1 of the 5% Challenge Results

For so long I have been in a slump and have gained weight which I did not need to gain. I had worked so hard to lose 40 lbs only to gain 20 lbs back. I can use all kinds of excuses, but the real truth is that I just gave up.
When I started this 5% challenge, I decided that it was time to put my heart back into it and start losing this weight again. These challenges have always been good for me even though I didn't do that well on the last 2.
Today was our first weigh-in and I was so excited to see 3 lbs gone!!! I don't expect that much weight loss every week, but at least I am on the right track and it feels so good.'
On to week two and the exercise and eating right are still on. I haven't had any junk food or diet coke for 7 days! This is a major accomplishment for me and I don't even feel deprived. Onward and upwards or should I say downwards!!
