Snowy Sunday

Today is a snowy looks more like Christmas out there ....I guess it is Feb. in Ohio.....

I am planning my meals for the week...I bought some turkey tenderloin, and going to roast it so I have lean protein for the week....I have also baked my eggs for the egg whites....baking them has been fun easy and they egg tastes better, DH says the yolks are creamy....

I have been on track following my plan since the new year...I am proud to say things seem to be
going emoticon ...I have been keeping my list of things that have gone well each day, writing things down seem to make them more concrete ...

I know Valentine's Day is here Friday and that means Chocolate...I am going to do my usual piece a day....sit in a quiet place nibble a bit and let it melt in my mouth, savory each morsel....delight my taste buds for as long as I can.....

Getting the extra workout at 3-4 pm has helped me with less nibbling while I cook, and less cravings. I am doing only 15 -20 minutes but that seems to work for now....Breaking the cycle of mindless eating is the key to loosing weight or maintaining....
I have rambled on enough...

    I too will do the one good quality dark chocolate on that day. I like the Dove Miniatures - they are pretty good and tasty. I may splurge and buy some Sharffen Berger and eat over the course of a week or two.

    Glad to hear everything is working out for you with your plan so far for the year.

    How do you bake your eggs? Do you bake them all at once? In what? At what temp? And you only eat the white part?

    I make a crust-less quiche for DH every Sunday, and that is what he takes to work for breakfast every morning. He was buying a breakfast wrap at Subway, and it was costing a small fortune. Now he gets all of the protein and no almost no carbs and lots of flavor. Plus, I can control the amount of fat, too. Made a Mexican quiche yesterday, and it turned out yummy!

    Hi Kitt! We have tons of snow here in western Pennsylvania too. I just keep gritting my teeth and thinking of Spring. It's now only 37 days away. Yes. I'm counting! lol

    Glad to hear that you're doing well, and I really love your plan for indulging in a little bit of chocolate, making it last--and savoring the moment. These kind of steps are what brought you so far--and OH BOY have you ever come a long way! SO proud and happy for you! emoticon

    We had "conversational" snow today. It was very pretty but didn't stick anywhere. Looks like we might be in for a bigger storm last this week.

    I love baking my eggs now. They do come out tasting so much better to me!

    you are always working your program and finding different things that work for you, thanks for sharing. I never heard of baking your eggs, how do you separte the egg whites from the yolks.

    Kitt, I loved reading this. We also have snow today, but the sun is shining. I have my meals planned for the week and that just makes everything so much easier. I don't have to try and decide what to have every meal; it is already done ahead of time. I'm glad te little bit of extra exercise is helping the nibbling. I will also be savoring a little chocolate every day and I like your plan for enjoying it. I never eat more than a piece a day, but I am going to try and enjoy it the way that you do. Enjoy your week. I plan on enjoying mine. emoticon
