Good Morning Everyone,
I thought I'd share a short acrostic with you entitled J-O-Y...
A few years ago I was a Missionette Leader, a group for girls, aged 6 to 15 in my Church, we had a song we sang with our girls entitled, Jesus, Others and You.
Unfortunately I've forgotten all the words to the song so can't share it here but thought I'd share a little about what this Motto has meant to me personally and to the girls we taught this life changing "Motto" to.
Everything has a starting or beginning point and for me it all began 33 years ago when I invited Jesus in to my heart and life to be my personal Savior. When Jesus came in to my life He gave me a brand new start, a new meaning to life. Another thing I experienced for the first time in my life was true peace, an inner peace that only He could give, the void, the emptiness that was once there was now filled with God's Peace, the peace that passes all human understanding.
For me, and the girls who applied this profound principle personally found that when Jesus was put first in every area of their life, everything else fell in to place.
Another thing we taught the girls was to put others needs above themselves. We shared that it wasn't always about them but it was about the other person. They learned that when they looked after the other persons needs it not only made them feel better about themselves but their own need was usually if not always looked after.
For me, living by this "Motto" Jesus Others and You it has taught me that when I put Jesus first, Others above my own needs everything else falls in to place. These past 34 years I have lived a Christian life I've found that I serve a faithful God who always looks after me.
Blessings on your day and week...Thank you again for your warm notes of encouragement, your many visits and posts you have shared here... Thanks for "Sharing some Spark Around"....
