Here we go again...

Time for the run to the grocery last night by hundreds of thousands of people (most likely).
One Kroger store reported that checkout lines were all the way to the back of the store.
We did our grocery shopping on Saturday and a little more on Sunday. So we are all set.

Schools were cancelled today, even though we're just getting a rain/sleet mix today. The BIG CHILL sets in tonight with more rain/sleet and lower temps, which will turn the roads into a skating rink. Atlanta and the mid to upper Georgia area doesn't want a repeat of the catastrophe that we had just two weeks ago. So a lot of people are staying home today.

Predictions for ice up to 1" thick will cause not only driving problems, but ice on trees will cause branches/limbs to come crashing down and sometimes large trees are toppled also.
This is a recipe for power outages. Power companies from surrounding states not affected also sent manpower and trucks to help Georgia Power with any power outages.

We have a camping cook stove so we can always cook out on the back porch. Have plenty of soup (homemade and canned) available and fresh veggies and fruit also. Cooked some extra brown rice last night so we can use that to supplement our soup.

We have warm jammies and thick blankets. Of course we could also snuggle and keep each other warm too.

We are originally from Wisconsin so we know how to respect the type of weather that is coming.

Keep on Sparking.
