Cardiac Care

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

So much for thinking it was going to be quick and easy and I could go on my way and back to exercising. ohhh noo....

Cardiologist has some concerns. He thinks I may have an arrhythmia and that is what caused the low potassium/cardiac issues (arrhythmia can release adrenaline and this apparently reduces potassium, who knew?)

So, I am having more testing done... over the next two weeks. I see him in four weeks. I can walk 30 minutes a day on a treadmill but no strength training, no running, no cardio.

I am however down almost nine pounds over the last month... even more evidence my scale may not be working so well at home lol.

I am loving my vitamix and my juicer and using those daily so maybe all will turn out well in the end.

I know this is hard right now, but your overall healthy and recover are the important things to keep in mind. Taking it slow when you dont want to is never easy, I felt that way after recovering from major surgery and it stunk to have to slow down and just give it time, but I did it and now I can pretty much do what I want within some reason.
Take care and do what you can, find some fun in this time.

Patience is a virtue! Stay mentally strong as you wait for your body to heal. It's not easy, but you CAN do it!
