Ya jess never know....

Wednesday, March 05, 2014

One never knows what will happen next----Ya jess never can surmise....
Yesterday I was sad----You see-----
Himself was NOT himself-
Himself is 85 yrs old----but----for some reason he decided his muscles were disintegrating---(unbeknownst to me!)
Now--- you or I , would do more weight lifting if we ever found this was the case with us----
But--Himself is a Doctor----Doctors love pills---'specially himself!
So he was popping a testosterone pill---for how long, I don't know----
But (there is always the "big butt")----The pills affected his personality ---made him more aggressive---actually changed his personality a lot----
...little crazy things made him rant and rave----

He was like a "changed " person----
So----It took awhile--but---I clued in---
-I found the pills---I discarded the pills----and I told him-----""Over my dead body was he ever to take those again!""

What on earth gets into these men's heads?----
They want muscles-----at 85 yrs old-!!!!!-----
We have weights in our home gym-----I will re-introduce himself to them---I've told him, there is no easy way out-----sweating----working out----and at 85 yrs old, enormous ""Poppey"" muscles might look weird!

Lord Love A Duck----and on top of all this, Tess, the resident German (as in dog) with Blasto, developed a fever--stopped eating----We had lowered her Prednisone----a call to the vet told me to raise the cortisone once again----that she must still have this disease in her--

So----in spite of all this------I spark-----Praise the Lord for all my Spark friends who sent gifts--encouraged me that I could climb out of the depths of despair----
Thank-you----
Ever onward here----

The good news is that at least you know why himself had a personality change and there is a solution. Tomorrow will be brighter.

So glad you threw them away. Such nonsense and who needs more aggressiveness? There is enough of that in the world already!

Awwwww, you definitely had a bad day. **SIGH** ((((HUGS))))

I would have been appalled to find testosterone pills! OMG. So many, many bad side effects! So glad you found it and showed DH the RIGHT way to handle the situation with his muscles.

So very sorry to hear Tess is still fighting the battle (you too).

    HUGS and prayers.

I think they just get scared, Lynda. I've had friends who have tried to remedy what they thought was a low testosterone level, and the results were the same - the anger, the tempers, even violence. The simple truth is that age takes some things away...and there's nothing we can do about it. I think it's God's way of preparing us to let go.

Good for you to take that bull by the horns and act. You're courageous and clear-thinking, Lynda.

Oh wow!! No wonder Himself was not himself!! I am so glad you through them out. And it was a good idea to reintroduce him to the exercise room. That is certainly the way to go. My himself does not exercise and with a cardiac history on his father's side he really should do it more often, not just sporadically like he does. He will walk with me once in a while. His cousin (on his father's side) had a stress test and they stopped it in the middle and sent him to the hospital for triple bypass surgery. emoticon

You can just never tell them anything, can you??

Now that you have thrown away the pills Himself will be back to himself!!! emoticon and peace will reign again!!!

Oh boy. That explains a lot. My goodness. Why do some men feel that way? Good thing you found those pills! What was he thinking? Poor Tess. Just when you think you have that blasto licked! She will get better. Good thing you hugged her lots yesterday. Here's to a better day! emoticon
