I might eat all the chocolate ice cream in the whole world!

Friday, March 07, 2014

We MUST stay strong!---stick to our healthy eating plan---no matter what!
Sparking is the one thing we can control!
Lord Love A Duck--do I ever need to write this right across in front of my face! --LOL

Yesterday we took Tess the resident German (as in dog)-to the vet---
This clinic is 2 hrs away--so the whole episode took all day!-
Tess has Blastomycosis--fungus in her lungs--All she did was breathe in a fungal spore-way last August.
Well, guess what?
She still has it!----After X-rays--a $250 Mira Vista Urine test for Blasto----blood work----the spores are STILL in her--not as many as last Nov., but--they are there----I saw the X-ray---Not only that, but she is now running a fever--AGAIN---

So......what to do?
Lord Love a Duck eh?---I want to jump up and down and scream--eat all the chocolate ice cream there is in the world---rip out my hair----
I might have to face the possibility that we just might not be able to get this dog better---
They changed her meds----That might work-----
Prayers definitely will help--both for her--and for me to carry on
---And------to not eat all the chocolate ice cream there is in the whole world!---

I hope everything works out with Tess emoticon And it's okay to have a small bowl of the chocolate ice cream, just not all the ice cream in the world!

Poor baby girl. We girls stick together no matter what!! Thumb your nose to the icky, sticky, bug-infested ice cream(picture that in your mind next time) and instead, go for a hug to dear Tess. She is a much more worthy recipient of your time than a spoon and bowl. emoticon emoticon

So sorry to hear that Tess is still having problems. The good news is that there are fewer spores than before. She is lucky to have caring people like you to take care of her. I will put you both in my prayers. Keep your chin up. emoticon

I'm so sorry, Lynda. The frustration about the whole situation must be almost more than you can bear...and veterinary science doesn't seem to be helping much. You're right, prayer might be just about the only thing. ADAPTOR is an amazing vet tech here - wonder if she could suggest something?

I am really sorry you and your baby have to go through with this. I am hoping the vet finds the proper meds to help her, and they can be so expensive. Hang in there and know we are all praying for both you and Tess!!!

This is a scary disease. I just checked it out on Wikipedia and see that cats and humans can get it too. Happily cure rates can be high with proper diagnosis and medications.

Here's hoping that your latest treatments will be the cure.

I am so sorry Linda, I'm sure Tess will soon be well again with the vet's help and your loving care. Sending up prayers for her and sending a wet lettuce leaf to you to slap your wrist with if you dare to eat ice cream emoticon
Seriously, thinking of you, hang in there.

Dang! So sorry Tess is still fighting this blasto. **SIGH** It really is insidious, and sending healing vibes for her.

Hang in there. She is surrounded by love, and that's a powerful medicine.

Of COURSE thank you for Weekend Warrior Baby! It's just not a Friay or a weekend w/o him!

Poor Tess and you!! You have both been through so much!! I was really hoping that the vet would give you the good news that she was spore free but he did give some good news that she does not have as many as last November so that means she is getting better. You just have to have faith that she will eventually get rid of it. I don't know much about it but maybe the healing process just takes a long time. We are all praying that the change in meds help!!!

As for the chocolate ice cream, there is an ice cream shop near older daughter that has sugar free, low fat chocolate ice cream that is really good. Just an occasional treat!! Getting on the old Dreadmill is a much better way to burn off your frustration!! You can imagine that you are chasing that carton of chocolate ice cream and it keeps running away from you!!

Lots and lots emoticon for you and Tess!!
emoticon and lots of them for you and Tess and here is a emoticon for Coal too!!

emoticon Lynda! For you AND for Tess. And the whole family who love her.

Now, let me say ONE mentally tough thing? "All the chocolate ice cream in the world will NOT fix this". You've got my prayers added to the collection... and that really CAN help.

Hang in there, you are one tough Canadian!

Thinking of you and sending healthy vibes to you and Tess. Tess to get better and you to put that chocolate icecream right at the back and bottom of the freezer.
or you may end up like this.
