I've heard "strive for progress, not perfection." And that's exactly what I'm doing. THIS TIME. :) I've never been perfect at dieting, eating healthy, exercise, etc. (well, except for that one time, and honestly, I was quite obsessive-compulsive about it, and one might argue, that's not healthy).

Have I eaten foods I ought not to (for me personally, in trying to lose weight)? YES. But have I eaten LESS of those foods? HELL YES! A lot less. Have I eaten more fruits and vegetables? Yup. Had more water, less soda? Yup, and yup.

Have I exercised every day? No. Even three times a week? Not technically, no. Have I met my step goal every day? Nope. But what I have done, I've taken the stairs more (a lot more today - every single chance I got, which is a lot in the huge place where I work), I've walked more than I used to, I've even started straightening, organizing and cleaning more at home -- which, yes burns calories, but even more importantly, gives me peace of mind and a clean, neat space in which to make healthy food happen! That's a big win for me.

So I'm focusing on the positive, the baby steps, and dammit if I don't baby step my way to my goals. :)
