Day 3-6 of Half Ironman Training

521 days to go before Half Ironman 2015...

Day Three: What was supposed to start as an active recovery day, (Walk with a friend), turned into a long mileage walk. It was still easy for me but hard for her. She bought a spark tracker last week and was excited to wear it for the first time. When we were almost done with our 4.5 mile walk, she looked down and her tracker was gone! So we turned around to back-track to eventually find it near where we started. Needless to say, we got 9.91 miles in.

Day Four: True recovery day, as always I walk to get my kids from school but Mondays are typically homework night. So I just did 20 minutes of weight training before bed.

Day Five: My first day of biking to work. They don't call them "Heavy Huffy's" for no reason! I strapped a bike trailer on for the baby (I have to drop her off at Daycare on my way to work). So I have a Heavy Huffy (left over from when I was 12), a bike trailer, and a 25 pound child. I biked a total of 10.2 miles. Lots of hills! I am going to have some great looking legs in a few weeks!

Day 6: Biked to work again! It was a little easier today. Same path. I was expecting it to be harder because of tired legs. I am so blessed! The weather has been beautiful!
