Two steps forward today

This is a good day.

I started with SP two months ago. One of my first goals was to find 10 minutes everywhere I could to do a little exercise. It was a change in both behavior and attitude. It was a way for me to bust through the excuses.

"I don't have time," was my excuse...but it wasn't just a way of getting out of doing something I wasn't excited about. It was basically true....because I did not have an hour or two all in one chunk. And that was the way I saw exercise - if you don't have at least an hour to commit, it is not real exercise.

I decided it was time to change my attitude - since the old one obviously was not working for me. I let the truth in...the truth that any extra movement, any extra steps, any extra time spent on fitness was going to make a difference in my overall health.

Now that I have carved out all those little pockets of time, time that I spend improving my health and fitness levels, I am starting to see results.

Two fun things happened today:

1. I fit into a pair of pants that I have not been able to wear for well over a year.
2. I cruised right past the 10 minutes really made me sweat just a few short weeks ago, and found that I did not feel like I was really working until at least 15 minutes had gone by.

Yay!

    Good for you! It's so easy to stay stuck in old ways of thinking that don't help us get where we want to go. YOU are doing the hard work of changing how you think, which is why I know you will be successful!
