Migraines are taking over my life! Weight loss is taking a backseat to my health

Friday, March 21, 2014

As you may have already read, my doctor cut my migraine medicine down from 30 a month to 10 a month. for the last 2 weeks I have has a migraine ranging from painful to nonfunctional, sometimes a up to 3 a day emoticon . Instead of my usual cardio to day I am doing a LOT of Yoga, because I recall that it used to help. probably about 2 hours of vinyasa and gentle yoga. This is the pan for the next 2 weeks (including Pilates). I don't really care if it helps me lose weight I just want one day of no migraines. after 2 weeks I'll add in structured cardio and weights. Hopefully by then I'll have my lyrica from the insurance company and my dexilant. I will be calling my neurologist to see what i can do to lessen these devilish migraines and constant headaches today or Monday.

There is one piece of good news, Shawn will be spending the week with me while I take care of the house and furry ones! emoticon So that will be nice. I'll finally get to see him again! And I'm getting my hair chopped off because it's driving me nuts!!! Finally!

I hope everyone has a great TGIF!! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Try peppermint oil on the temples and see if that will help with the migraines

Migraines are horrible & scary, I also suffer from them. Many people don't understand them, they think they are just a headache or an excuse. It is so frustrating.

I'm so sorry you're suffering with migraines, but impressed that you are continuing to push yourself to get exercise in! You are strong!!!
