Day 34-Listen Accurately...

The idea of todays lesson is to recognize that moment when you are at a Fullness +1
Think about ..does my stomach feel satisfied? Do I feel like I have had enough food?
If you are thinking about it..chances are the answer is yes...

The idea presented here is to be alert to your tummy rather than waiting for your brain to signal fullness. When you eat too much & are miserable..you hold your tummy not your head. So perhaps by training yourself to be more observant of sensation of fullness you will be able to recognize that feeling of satiety.

Another issue that is addressed is the idea that perhaps you LIKE being full or even overfull. That the feeling of being "stuffed" relates to good memories & good times..so it is a reminder of those times? If this is you ..then you need to work on changing your belief that "stuffed" is a good feeling. Move it into the "uncomfortable" category & focus on that.
Decide that you only want to be comfortable or satisfied..not STUFFED!


To me the above part of the lesson is not within my keen. But if it hits a nerve with someone else then it is there to help, not criticize. Just food for thought so to speak!

the main exercises related to this lesson are .....

1-when you eat STOP at the beginning of feeling satisfied.
2- If you are a person that habitually overeats...is it related to reminders of good times?
If so then start rethinking that process...& make comfortable a goal.
At big family dinners..be ready to stop before FULL....long before STUFFED...

If as the comics always said .....you leave wanting more..then that is a good thing. Not a starved I NEED MORE..but a gentle ..I would like more but I know it will cause me to be uncomfortable.



Heavy duty outside work day today. Cannot even list all the stuff I moved..lifted..drug & generally got out of the shed..then started filling in holes dug by my faithful dog! only about halfway done...so there will be work for the weekend...oh goodie!

Actually am delighted to be outside & doing...has been a long cold winter!

Off to a hot shower & a comfy bed...nite ya'al!!

    Darn! I should have read this before I ate my lunch. But I didn't.......as a result I see my calorie count is a bit over, not over what SP recommends, but over what I know I can eat and still be in losing mode.

    Well, I can only hope that all the energy I expended trying to clean up the yard at the new house will help use up those calories.

    Yes, even when those extra calories were consumed I knew it was wrong, but I craved it just then, and, and, uh, uh......hmm, I guess I forgot why. Oh well.
