Day 41--Motivation..may I borrow some please??

That said..todays focus is Motivation..where is it..and where is it on the scale of 1-10?
Do you look forward to your workout....everyday? Is your motivation on high?
Or are you checking under the bed amoungst the dust bunnies to see if Motivation
might be hiding there. Perhaps in a drawer under the too tight to wear right now clothes?
Or did it slip right on out the door while you were not looking?



Yep kinda like taking your daily vitamin..you need a daily dose of "I can, I will do this!"



This is one of my favorite lil cartoons..it really says a lot. we make choices as to how much
effort & dedication we are going to put into each day..so What Step Are You On Today?
I have to admit that my lil ole self is not high on the achievement scale as far as exercise.
It was a self day...ate with friends...shopped & then watched a movie..lovely relaxing day.
We need those to..to keep our motivation up. If we thought that every day would have to be get out there & sweat with no fun no relief no giggles or ME time..then our ole buddy Motivation would be out the door like bad milk!!



Oh Yuck..there's that responsible adult thing again...dern it! No one to blame..no one to say tis their fault I did not work out...or eat right ...exception here noted..Mum's with sick kids..that is the worlds best & most accepted reason!!



So what it boils down to is we have to challenge ourselves..decide what will work for us to keep us on track & keep our motivation rolling along.
I know from experience once that ole scale starts moving down...down ...down..& that favorite pair of slacks now falls off your hips..Major Motivator!!! Oh Yeah..but gotta get there..& that is done by just keeping on.

Suggestions...do you need to get up earlier..will you exercise if you get up earlier..???

Set the alarm clock & try it..for 2 weeks..if it does not work..then look at another idea.

Me ...I know it won't work..I am just not a morning person. I love an occasional beautiful sunrise, while camping! I don't mind an occasional up early to go or to do..but every day...nah...I would break the snooze alarm banging on it so hard!!!

Listen to music that makes ya wanna move! that is a good one!

Watch an exercise DVD..eventually you feel guilty & join in!!! yep works for me!

Get a walking buddy .,.a reliable one that will push you to go... emoticon

Lay out your workout stuff,,clothes , shoes and sox...etc..before going to bed.

Hmmm my work out clothes are often the same as my do chores clothes...since I get out of bed to go let the geese & ducks out before anything else ..well nearly... The fill water tanks & bowls..check feed ..tend to the chicks..doing the same thing..so that is about the first hour of my day...What is the first hour of yours??

Could we throw some exercise...in there?? I bet !! if we choose to!!



Therein is the secret to daily motivation...daily renewal of your vow to yourself that

One Day At A Time...I Will Do This...

It doesn't have to be a big amount just some..to keep the ball rolling..& like a snowball on a snowfield...as it rolls & gathers strength it carries more power..so your Motivation will grow if you exercise it! Daily!! Let's just DO THIS!!!

    You've got me thinking about early morning....watching the sunrise....leisurely way to start the day....with a nice hot cup of coffee to ward off the morning chill as I sit on the deck and listen to the birdies......If spring ever arrives I might just try that and go to the Y early to exercise.
