Well I finally made a decision on what to do next about the Cancer
Thursday, April 24, 2014
After visiting with the radiologist oncologist today. I made the decision to monitor for at least the next 3 months instead of any treatment. The doctor I saw today explained to me that once the lung tissue has been radiated it is dead and there is no recovering it. He was also concerned where the tumor was removed. It seems the lower is the part of the lung that a great deal. Being able to pin point the right place would be hard for him to do. With monitoring if the cancer reoccurs we should able to find early enough to do radiation if it comes to it.
This doctor also believes it is possible that this cancer is from my ocular cancer from back in 1984. I mentioned this to my regular oncologists nurse. She told me he might want to have the path slides from the 1984 compared to the latest path slides to see if there is a match. He says that a chance of reoccurcnee if as good as a non reoccurrence.
This drs visit makes me feel a good deal better and lifts my spirits. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers.
