Talking about the importance of food & where on a list of 1 to 10 you would put food.
As said before there are days that are meant to be a celebration of food..that is great!
On a daily basis..food is fuel & should be appreciated but not top billing.
So the idea of this lesson is to make a list of alternatives to food..things that are important to you. More time with your kids..increased activity level..planning meals more carefully..
taking time to read or listen to music..study to increase your knowledge of your field or profession..the lists can go on forever..just what is important to you!
...take a paper...make two columns.....number from one to ten
in the first column at One put the word FOOD... continue to fill in the list going down the first column.
rethink..consider & decide what could go in the first slot. using the second column
reorder until food is much further down the list. It doesn't have to off the list..just not up in the top portion.
This is a very individual process & might take a bit of time..my suggestion would be to make this list.. store it in a safe place..in a few days or a week take it out & review it again. Continue to use this as a tool to help you focus on what is really important & what you need to perhaps shuffle in your life a bit in order to reach your goals.
I honestly am not much of a list maker...perhaps this exercise will help me focus a bit more.
Or perhaps there will be crumpled paper in the trash..either way at least I will have given it a try!
