Here we go again.....right?

It's hard to believe it's been over three years since I was really active on this site. Sure, I've posted here and there and I got back into shape after having my son, but I've lost my motivation. I've gained like 20 lbs in the past 8 months and I'm so angry at myself. I haven't been able to stay motivated to keep eating right or go to the gym at night after work. I'm so disappointed in myself.

How do I get my motivation back?

    Hey there, cut yourself some slack too. You just had a beautiful bouncing baby boy that's going to keep you busy for SEVERAL years to come! LOL

    Start off small again. Take the 10 minute walks (with baby in tow), cut out the sodas (or whatever your trigger is) and as you build up more time and energy for YOU, then rethink your goals. Maybe a run? Maybe little league? LOL

    Until then, get out your vision board (or make a new one) and refocus on YOU. Baby steps and have FUN on this journey.

    I hear you, girl. If I started adding an "again" for every time I thought I was restarting my journey I think I'd wear out those letters on my keyboard. The important thing is that you just keep trying! Don't try to change the world, just set little goals and do the best you can. We're in this together! :)

    Think about your son and the kind of mom you want to be for him and the kind of example you want to set. Will he see a mom who cares for herself growing up and do the same for himself, or will he see differently? Up to you! And we're here to help all along the way!!!!!!

    Welcome back!! Hang in there. I find the greatest battle I have is a mental one. I set a goal for myself to exercise every day for 10 minutes for 100 days. I'm currently at day 64 and that has been my motivation--I don't want to end the streak. In the beginning I had to force myself to do what I needed to do. It became a little easier as I went, but it is still one day at a time.

    Take one step at a time, keep a joumal....Make plans for exercise daily, preplanned meals ahead of time, and don't dwell on the negative. Everyone whose ever had a baby has gone down the same path. Just keep moving. Make your baby apart if your exercise...including him in it and he will be your motivation... say its mommy and babies time for exercise. Keeping you both happy, and if ho can include daddy n it too. Make it fun for all, but keep aiming at an exercise time table for all...together is easier. You can do it! Just don't give in to failure. Susan

    hey there! well, as motivation goes, my motivation was the fact that i couldnt fit in any of my clothes anymore. and then i got an eliptical at home. and since i love music, (who doesnt) i workout to that. my favorite though. i get up even though i am so tired. i think about how next week i am an inch or so closer to closing those jeans ive been trying to wear. i hope you get alot of other tips too. cause mine are just ... normal i guess. lol. good luck!!!!
