I have been in California for about a week and a half. I am starting my fifth day at my new job - so far, so good. It has been tough to be away from my family, even knowing that they will join me in just over four weeks. Because these things are what they are...I am really working on staying focused on now. I am trying to be mindful, focused and present.
I am pleased to report that after little more than 100 days on SparkPeople, I have altered the way I live in some very fundamental and meaningful ways. My daily walks support my ability to be mindful and focused. Staying hydrated helps me know when I am actually hungry versus being worried or overwhelmed. The foods I eat support my sense of strength and well being. THESE are the things that are getting me through some stressful times...not (as in the past) a stack of donuts!
