DearHeart and i have been juicing freggies recently; it's helping us both feel Much! better, and it's also allowing us to get nutrition in that otherwise we'd been struggling for.
DH looked up some recipes after we got our Omega juicer... which we only bought after Much! research, and luckily for us we did well with it; even juicing for just the two of us, we can juice twice or three times a day and be able to clean up the juicer parts Quickly and Easily!
here are the ingredients we use for our favorite juice; it's light and fruity, yet we can still taste the veggies that form the base of the juice.
these are carrots, sweet potatoes, apples and a pear, romaine lettuce in place of the spinach we prefer, celery (under the romaine), pineapple, oranges or a grapefruit, a lemon or a lemon and a lime, green beans, about an inch or more of ginger root, cranberries, blueberries, parsley, and a whole beet or two.
We only take off the very end of stems/tips, and don't peel as much as we can.
Wash well, tho!
We try to get organic freggies whenever we can, and cranberries or cherries and such are found without any sweetener in the frozen sections of many supermarkets.
We can't WAIT to juice some of our own garden veggies, and the fruit we might get from local farmers markets, soon!
here's the juice from those ingredients; it made about four to six 8-oz glasses of juice...
and here's the juicer just after we've begun taking it apart to clean:
MMMMMmmmmmm!!
anyone have any suggestions?
