GENTLENESS UNDER STRESS

There are going to be times when life seems out of whack. There are going to be days when everything seems to be going wrong. There are going to be weeks when we just feel like running away and screaming. Rather than hiding. Rather than yelling. Rather than crying – try gentleness. Trying gentleness with those around us will help us to calm down and others to calm down. Trying gentleness with ourselves will allow us to focus on God and allow Him to work through us in the midst of the chaos.

Zephaniah 3:17 “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to get past the stress in life. Help us today to get past the craziness and chaos and focus on You. We know with Your help You can get us past stressful situations. We know with Your help You can get us through tough times. We know with Your help we can feel Your gentle presence and allow You to work that gentleness through us to help us and to help others better know what Your will is in all situations. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we decide to give God our problems, He will help us through them.

When we feel stressed out, we need to go to God to help us calm down.

Instead of allowing Satan to control us when we just want to scream or cry or run away, we need to allow God to take control and show us His way.

When we have times of frustration and doubt, God’s gentleness will help us move away from those feelings and move toward Him.

We can feel the gentleness of God when we decide to let go of the stress and focus on Him.

God wants us to seek Him and feel our way toward Him so we can feel His gentleness and move away from the stresses of the world.

Acts 17:27 “His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.” (NLT)

Focus: Seek after God’s love, peace and gentleness in all things so we can show that same love, peace and gentleness to others.
