Thanks go to the 5% Challenge for getting me blogging again. It is our Living the Good Life challenge of the week.
I have done an awful lot of 5% Challenges in the past. Some have been more successful than others. I have been close to losing 5% of my body weight a few times. This challenge won't even be close. But that's not all bad news.
These challenges make me accountable to others. How the team does is dependent on everyone contributing. So more often than I make an effort to exercise just a little more than I might have. I tend to not eat that (insert bad food choice here) that keeps calling my name. I will adhere to the good life challenges to sleep or drink more water or eat my freggies and I'm better for it. Plus i get support from some pretty great team mates when I do the right thing and understanding and encouragement when I do the wrong thing. So, this time around I will not lose my 5% but I'm convinced that without the 5% Challenge I probably would have gained 5% of my body weight.
So, thanks everybody. I owe you. I haven't been the greatest team member this time around. Life has been kind of hectic and I've exercised too little and not been nearly involved enough in supporting everyone else. I hope to do better in the Summer 5% Challenge. I had better! School will be out and there will be no excuses for slacking.
