Getting Back to Basics

So my last blog entry was pretty much just me being frustrated.. I did the one thing I should never do.. I was trying to do all the different diets that other people were doing.. I believe that almost every diet works if you pick one and stick with it. everyone is different and different things works for different folks..

I have always been on some kind of diet in my life. The only real success I had was keeping within a certain calorie range and light exercise. You know walking, bike riding, maybe a cardio dvd here and there. Doing these simple things I lost 35 pounds in about 6 months on spark people I looked and felt so good that I almost immediately ended up pregnant. Well that little boy is about to be five in a month.

While I did return to my prebaby weight with the help of babyfit I only gained 20lbs during my pregnancy. It was the staying at home for five years that eventually caused me to regain all that I had lost :(

This got long and drawn out.. My point is this week I focused on maintaining my calorie limits and exercising which included gardening and on my weigh in today I lost 3 pounds.

All this just confirmed some of the things that were mentioned to me.. I need to stay with what I know and while I can see what works for others I need to remember and follow what works best for me!!
