My 3 sons!
My graduate JJ.
Me,JJ, Jim(hubby) Boy photos show me I got a LONG weigh(way) to go!
It is funny. I have been keeping an eye on my blood pressure numbers and blood sugar numbers and I had been getting them down to somewhat a normal person's level. But after the ceremony and we left and let JJ go out with friends to the graduation parties I checked my blood pressure and blood sugar and they DROPPED to perfect numbers. I thought I was dealing with the stress of everything well. And I probably was, but it just goes to show you that thing still effect you through stress even when you don't realize it. It feels SO good to have this done. And to be able to move forward to a bigger world. We are so happy for him and proud of him. Graduated Cum Laude and the top 15% of his class. He was part of so much. Wrestling, Started Multi Cultural Club (2 of my kids and husband are part Thai), Art, AP classes, mentoring, just so much! 298 kids walked this day. 350 kids in his class. The gym was standing room only. We lucked out with 4 seats together in the middle of one of the back rows. They had the stage and two huge projection screens to show the graduates getting their diplomas and to see the speakers. This was one graduation I will not forget. Not just because so many of the little faces I have known all their life graduated, but because they know us moms love them and will want to cry. And because of that they did funny speeches so we wouldn't cry so much but laugh. So from the speakers taking SELFIES and teachers dressing in funny clothes and ridiculously rapping their speeches, to speakers doing funny power points to lighten the mood... I love all those kids! Many are my son's friends. He set out this year to graduate with honors, it was his goal. And after a first semester of AP classes that killed his GPA and going to state in wrestling, he didn't think it would happen. But he kept trying and did it! He is out at more graduation parties today.
NEVER say you can't do something. If you keep trying and take the pressure off yourself, you CAN do ANYTHING!
I felt much slimmer when I dressed for this day after several outfit changes. After seeing the pictures with me in them, I SEE I have so much further to go and although I feel healthier, I have much to lose yet that will make me more healthy than I feel.
What a day! So much better than we thought it would be. 2 down...one more to go!!!!!!!!!!
If he wont give up...neither will I!!!!!!
My kids lol The top two are JJ from diapers to diplomas... as a little guy then his senior photo. The bottom two are My oldest who is now 21 playing don't spill the beans! Then my youngest who is now 10 on the right bottom in Chubaka (sp) outfit. He looks less than thrilled lol.
