My son...

Thursday, June 19, 2014

Sunday of Memorial weekend, my son was killed in a car accident. What a tough pill to swallow... I'm so devistated that I will never hear his laugh or see his smile. I have some videos of him that I am relying on to keep him with me. He was an active airman and was stationed at Langley AFB. He was home on leave as we were having a birthday party for my husband. It is a night that will be imbedded in my brain forever. He had a full military funeral, what a sight that was. It was beautiful. Heart wrenching, but beautiful. The following week the Air Force flew us to Virginia for a Memorial Service at Langley AFB. They really know how to take care of their own and the family. They did an amazing job there also. Dennis (my son) is the only person in our family that has been in the service so there is a lot about his military life that we were unaware of. Such as awards he had received and what a lot of the coins he acquired meant. I will miss him dearly... emoticon

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing a son. There is nothing worse.
The heartbreak and grief of it must seem unbearable. I pray that you will give yourself the time to grieve. I pray that God would send His Comforter to be with you and help you in your time of need. LORD, help this family to come through this time of grieving. In Jesus' name. Amen.

My heart felt sympathy goes out to you. God obviously thought it was his time even if it seemed early. I am retired military. My son was an airman in the Air force. You should be very proud that he chose to serve his country. He will always be in your heart. emoticon
