Day 83~No More "NO-NO's"

Feeling "deprived" if you cannot have a food is the focus of this lesson.

Be it birthday cake..just cookies or candy or even mashed potatoes & gravy..when we decide we "cannot" have a food..we set ourselves up to fail!!

I know that I..& I suspect everyone else has a food they cannot STOP if they start!!
So then the decision has to be made to NOT have that food..but it is a choice not an order or a "have to"...it is a thought out choice.

At other times... emoticon , emoticon ...special occasions..a taste is allowed..
if a taste takes you off the ramp & into the river...then decide that you went in..now it is time to head back out. Tis a done deal..now move forward.



Indeed that is why we are living a healthy lifestyle & eating healthy..but that does not mean that we will never ever let ourselves have a treat. We will choose to have a treat..then keep moving forward on our journey!

We set boundries in our lives..they guide us thru our days safely, they help us deal with lifes unexpected events & they give us benefits.
We might not want to go to work..but we chose to cause we like getting a paycheck!
We might not want to do camp laundry but we do to keep the house from being condemned!

So if you chose to not eat that cake or pie ..then you have made a choice to "deprive" yourself of that dessert..but you are on the path of success in managing your weight!

One suggestion is to list the things that you feel your weight deprives you of.....
What would you do if you did not have the pounds?
Would you travel more? Would you join little theater groups? Would you get that long lusted after bike or horse or go skiing.. Really think about what you do not do because of your weight..Then decide to deprive yourself of that dessert in order to get the reward of those activities you would like to participate in.



Tis not easy..no one said it would be. If they did..they lied!!
Tis worth it ....indeed!!



That can apply to food choices as much as it does exercise. Push past that craving ..give it
5 minutes, I bet you will get past it!!



yep ..a pound is a pound..we just have to decide to have a pound of fat or a pound of muscle..plus never forget ..the fat that shows on the outside is only half the story. Your organs are encased in layers of "lipid tissue", translated fat! It causes them, especially your heart to not function as well as they could. Plus it takes extra MILES of blood vessels to feed that tissue & that means more work for the heart!

Not deprived...is a mind set we need to develop..rather making a choice to live our lives to the fullest each day by being fit & eating healthy!



Focus on improving your life & your health so you can enjoy all the things you are missing!
