Day 84~ Expectation Mindset...

This one is quick and easy....you have expectations...they can be rather rigid or they can be rather flexible..I think we have multi sets of expectations & they vary ...
the lesson describes your mindset as a box...Big box...small box
depending on which one fits you..if it is the smaller & more rigid box then you have tighter expectations..less flex in your ideas, what you are willing to accept from yourself and others. Which is why I say we all have various boxes or expectations. We expect our kids to do their best in school..but we do not flog them with a hose if they get a C.
We expect ourselves to do the best we can & we tend to flog ourselves with words when we slip...hmmm seems wrong somehow!
If others can slip now & then why can't we?? After all we are indeed only human!!
The idea of this lesson was to examine your expectations & even write them down..honestly
Then look at them & see if there are areas that cause you to stress eat..or snack..or mindlessly empty the ice cream carton!!! Then decide would it really be that big of a deal if I flex a bit & do not get so uptight about this item. Continue that exercise until you have gone thru your list & made as many little boxes as possible into larger or even big boxes!!
In other words..quit stressing yourself out!!
that is certainly worth remembering!!
