Life can be short so enjoy it while you can.

Haven't blogged in ages. Probably because my successes have been NSVs and my weight loss slow. I want to do it right this time and have one medical condition which makes working out a challenge.
I have had Fibromyalgia for decades along with IBS and then over the last 10 years I also developed CFS/ME with post exertional malaise. To make a long story short, if I do anything either physically or mentally that my body perceives as going past the line, I end up flat on my back in bed feeling like I have the flu but I don't. So part of my workout plan is researching PEM so I can work out a bit more.
Enough about me. I received news today that my 24 year old Irish nephew is dead. He was living in Naples teaching English as a second language and sailing. Charlie was due to return to Ireland in a couple of weeks and the family was excited. He was a fun loving, polite, nice young man. His family has flown to Naples and we hope to hear what exactly happened.
So when you tuck your young ones in tonight say a special prayer to keep them safe and if you are fighting with your teenager or older adult child find a way to work it out because they or you may not be around for the apologies to be made. Love is more important.
I am grateful that Charlie was out last year and spent time with us here in BC. He and his cousin (my son) were born two weeks apart and they are like two peas on a pod. I sat and watched the two of them spend hours talking about football and music and politics and ...It was hard keeping up with them but it was apparent they got on well.
My wish is that he didn't suffer too much pain. May God keep you safe now Charlie. We will miss you and we love you! xoxo
