Been back at it with Sparkpeople since mid-May. I swear, the older you get the harder it is to take off even 10 pounds. Five years ago it would have come off in a month or less. Now it's been a month and I've managed to drop 6 so far. YAY! Met two of my goals - making it to Level 15 in SparkPoints - and getting back into this skinnnny blue dress I haven't worn for two years. That happened yesterday! Another YAY!
Started by doing mostly cardio 5 - 6 days a week. Tried to get strength in on the weekends or on those mornings I woke an hour early for no reason. Again, hard when you have an incredibly high stress job and then sit in horrendous traffic for 60 - 90 minutes each way. But things seem to be slowing down a bit now and I am still walking 2.5 - 3 miles every evening after dinner (oh my aching feet! LOL!) But dropping about a pound a week now - only 4 more to go. Only thing that saddens me is that there is so little time for strength training. There's a new Planet Fitness opening right by home in a few days. I may join. Just hope I have the energy to go. I had joined a gym literally next door to work and hardly went mostly because it was full of lunk-heads who hogged equipment like they owned the place.
But, the fact is I am back on track. Put on a pair of my favorite summer slacks this morning and they are actually loose! Cool!
