Day 87~Old Ways....

Yeah I think that kinda hits it right on the head. We start with the idea that we will eat healthy, we will exercise..we will toss the weight in the sea never to be seen again.

Then life rears its ugly lil head & "stuff" happens...we begin to react in our old ways..the habits of years reassert themselves & we succumb to temptation.



Indeed that lil message is important ..but also there is the fact that...



& the old ways lead to that ,,,now don't they????

Just a crack in the pattern..tis like dropping a stitch in your knitting..might not even notice it till many days later..but then it is obvious there is something wrong! Same thing with our eating & exercise..they need to be our NEW habits. & we need to steer clear of the OLD habits.



Then embrace your new pattern whole heartedly!!

Find ways to "fit in" with the old rituals...ie:ice cream at nite...ok..so get lighter calorie ice cream & measure & enjoy..no guilt & you can live with it , plus still feel part of everything rather than feeling deprived.

Now things like the donuts in the breakroom, or the pizza at a party...or any other temptation..ya need to hang in there..then look in the nearest mirror & silently say...
I am proud of you...you are doing great!!!



And remember....



So focus on making eating healthy for life a daily choice.....

Allow yourself a treat..but make that treat a choice..not a reaction or a habit!!
