Today was one of those days that should have been mostly spent at home, but instead morphed into one that found me gone pretty much until about 2 p.m. Why? For starters an eye doctor appointment with my dad that should have taken 30-45 minutes total, but took over two hours! It was crazy how long we waited to see that doctor after we'd been on time with the initial short exam given him. Then we only saw this specialist for 5 minutes. The result of this visit was learning that his right eye can't be helped. The macular degeneration is wet and large and injections won't help it so we just pray his left eye remains as it is.

I got home about 11 and the kids were crying "starving mom!" We went to Subway since I was hungry too. I'd left without breakfast thinking I'd be home about 9. Then we ran errands to the library and pet store before coming home.

I spent the rest of the day doing some food prep and then work on homeschool co-op.

The hubby did some subtle work on the bully issue by visiting with parents of the families that will still be in the neighborhood once the ringleader moves away. Now the kids know that the parents are talking and they don't know what Maegann's dad said to theirs. I was also happy that my kiddos did spend time outside and ignored the meanies. I know Maegann feels like ignoring them is just like being mean back, but it really isn't at this point. Until the ringleader is gone...this must be the way it works. Talking with her about the future when she sees a meanie trying to get to her and letting them know that what they are doing is mean and asking them to stop. They need to know right away that she's got their number and isn't going to take it. Not easy to do when you are so tender-hearted!

Tomorrow... Nutritionist and again nothing else on the schedule.

Why do kids have to eat all the time??? I mean, really! Joking. I laugh because I had my 9 year old nephew with me, fed him breakfast and got to working and next thing I know he is like...uh...hungry and I'm like... I just fed you.... who knew that they needed to be so much?

Sounds like things are working out with all the bullying. Nice to know that parents are getting informed and hopefully involved.
