Definitely a day that I would say has made me quite weary.

It started out fine with my trip to the lab with my dad for his blood draw and everything appeared to be smooth sailing once home when we started schoolwork. (Didn't even do a full load.) The first blip came when Isaac realized he was doing the same thing in math again. I've been telling him it is because there is a concept he has to understand before he can move is not a fail. We got through it and had lunch and I thought maybe we were okay.

The kids headed out to ride scooters and hadn't been out long before they came in angry. Maegann was reporting that he ran out in front of a car (again) and they had to slam their brakes on. She said she had warned him, he'd adjusted and then just rode out in front of them. Isaac came in "yelling" that his sister is always telling lies just to get him in trouble. He didn't even know what she'd told me. Because of the way this all played out I had to pull swimming because it was obvious that his safety awareness was nonexistent today. It is typically very low anyway, but not like this.

I had a small pity party (on my own) because these types of things make me so sad because it isn't fair that his sister loses out many times because of the autism. It's just a truth.

I was thankful that the family a few blocks over who homeschool and their daughter attends the same bible study phoned and asked if Maegann could go over for a few hours to play. Perfect timing! Thankful!

While Isaac stayed in his room I worked on the James bible study for a time and then got my Wii Fit accomplished.

Before supper we had another disagreement over safety. It was totally perception, but showed again that Isaac was "off" from his typical. He also made the mistake of yelling at me when I simply asked him to tell me what happened. Was thankful his dad was hearing the whole exchange.

Basically I'm just ready for bedtime and a day with mercies that are new every morning!

Tomorrow.... school and maybe we can try the pool again.

BL Challenge - Team Emerald: Tomorrow is our 3rd weigh-in! Good luck Emeralds!

Wii Fit - I hadn't visited my virtual trainer in 6 days, but I got a good start on July and did show a slight loss on their scale. Always nice! Will definitely see more calendar days marked as "fitness done" this month.

He's going to require special training for interacting with his environment. That's for sure. Structured, and made to fit just for him. I don't know how you do it.

I agree that the phone call to invite Maegann over came just at the right time. Sending hugs and prayers Janet! Hope that today goes smoother.

I'm thinking God arranged the homeschool girl's invitation for Maegann!
