Hello fellow Sparkers!!
Tonight Im gonna talk about (and photo blog about) things/tools/gadgets etc. that keep me going!! :-)
Exhibit A: The Calendar!!
As you can see, I mark my fitness minutes, my weight, and I total out the number of days per week as well as avg exercise mins per workout day! :-) I think its a great visual tool to keep hanging in your bedroom! :-)
Exhibit B: The Pedometer!!
This is a fairly basic and satisfying step counter, which aslo tells me my distance covered, calories burnt, I can check my speed while Im walking and it also differentiates between fitness walking and general everyday walking! :-) I find this lil thing quite a motivator on an everyday basis! :-) Its takes the laziness factor and throws in outta the window! :-)
Exhibit C: The Resistance Tube/Band
This is a super light weight piece of equippment that can really add (for want of a better/different word) "resistance" to your strength training moves! Its super versatile and works your muscles both while extending away from you and while bringing the handles back near you! There are tons of videos online that show a plethora of creative ways to use these bands/tubes for an awesome workout! :-)
Exhibit D: The Measuring Tape!
When All Else Fails, This One Rescues Me!
Plateaus, bad weight days, Feeling stuck days!! My trusty tape measure never fails to show me the positive side to some bad weight situations! It reminds me that my weight plateau may just be me putting on muscle weight while loosing fat weight! :-) I wouldn't advise anyone to start a weight loss programme without one of these! :-)
