Wednesday, 7/9/14

Today I'm feeling better as the tiredness is not overwhelming and the ache from the injections has lessened. Still taking ibuprofen. The nurse did call this morning to check up on me and find out what I noticed so the doctor would have notes on everything. Supposed to check in again tomorrow.

Took Isaac to see the ENT first thing and that was a great appointment! The staff was marvelous with him and Isaac did amazingly well with having things poked and prodded around his head. The best news is the essential oil did the trick! The enlarged blood vessels that were assisting the bloody noses were no longer a problem. He said there are two very small spots that could contribute at some point, but he felt just treating the dryness daily would take care of it. SOOOOO thrilled with this news!!!! Was not wanting to hear "we must cauterize."

Afterwards we went to McD's for breakfast and then came home and did some schoolwork before it was time to go meet the new counselor. Isaac did awesome with him too. I like that this counselor is a Christian and understands homeschooling (his wife was homeschooled). I also like that Isaac answered his questions seriously and not just the glib "good," "okay," "I don't know" type thing. Tomorrow he comes to our house for the in-home session. I think this will be a good addition to working with Isaac.

Then it was off to VBS with Isaac and Maegann just left for bible study. Nice having someone to trade off driving with now for that study that is across town!

Another positive today. Maegann reached out friendship to the girl across the street. First time since right after the bully had moved away. This girl was totally afraid of the bully and did some hurtful things to Maegann because of it, but she never spoke badly to her. She said Sophia didn't talk as much and I told her she's probably just nervous about it all and to give her time. Now...the other girl...Maegann won't be spending time with her yet as the brothers are still trash talking her.

Tomorrow... Counseling at 12:15 and VBS at 1. NO DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS!!!!!
