Think I will start trying this.

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

I read today for people over 40 it helps weight loss to drink 1/2 oz of water for every pound you weigh. So 200 lb of weight = 100 oz of water a day. 8 oz = 1 cup of liquid 8/100=12.5 cups + .5 oz for the extra one pound I weigh. So 13 Cups I need to drink every day.

2 cups = 1 pint
2 pints = 1 quart or 4 Cups
4 quarts = 1 gallon or 16 cups

So 3 cups less than a gallon of water a day. OR 3 quarts and one cup.

Ha ha sorry for the math lesson. First magazine on the checkout this week has this article in it. It does make sense, and I have heard this before in a shorter explanation.
If nothing else, I will be more hydrated and functioning better! I found the article interesting. Kristin Chenoweth is on the front cover but the article is not about her.

Figured I would share.

In our challenge groups, we tell challengers to drink half their body weight in ounces. I have this awesome glass bottle with silicone wrap that has ounces on it, which makes it really easy to measure how much I've consumed!
