We made it through swim lessons for this summer!!! All the different classes and teachers played a fun game of water polo together.
Maegann passed her level and it was one the instructor told them the first day is the toughest class to pass so nobody expected to make it through. After the way it began (in tears because it was so hard) she ended so happy and absolutely charmed by her teacher Preston. Isaac needs to retake his level which is not surprising as he has never passed any level other than mom/tot swim because he has a thing about the back float or back stroke. He just doesn't like the way the water gets in his nose. It's mostly an autism sensory thing for him. We've passed him along to this point, but there's no way he can go to the next class without pushing past that feeling. I told him even if he's done now it is okay. He knows how to swim, can go to the deep water to dive and that's the most important thing. All these other strokes are not.
After lunch we headed to the YMCA to swim. I had to stay with Dakota (the autistic 6 yr old that Maegann watches each week) the entire time due to age requirements. I was okay with that, but goodness did I get a workout! Climbing those steps to the waterslide about 15 times... manuevering the "not-so-lazy" river (no tubes to float it) for a very long part of our two hour stay... and resistance work on the arms/shoulders as I had to hang onto a chunky, slippery boy down that fast and twisty slide. It was a lot of fun though.
Tonight I went for my Bountiful Basket so my morning would be free tomorrow as I need to head to Boise about 9:15 for an all day doTerra conference. Looking forward to a day away by myself. Afterwards (it's over about 5) I'm going to one of my upline's to borrow some items for the booth I'm doing next month.
