Potato Chip Crisis alert!

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

I had a good weight in yesterday, down 3 pounds...progress. Feeling good today, clothes are feeling a bit loser YEAH.

On the way home stopped to pick up a few items at the grocery store, feeling like a little reward is OK I picked up a bag of potato chips, not one of those individual size bags mind you a hug family size one, like family of 6 size.

Well i'm not even sure when the bag was opened but there I am nibbling on one chip after the other, feeling sad, mindless...I don't even like potato chips -- what is wrong with me.

Home now feeling sick to my stomach with the over load of carbs, fat and salt...

Grateful that tomorrow is a fresh start, actually the fresh start has already started when I realized what I had done. I refuse to give up!

I know this feeling. But my downfall is sugar. If there is anything sweet in the house or I get that feeling like I'm deserving of a special treat it's a candy bar that I turn to, preferably with a coke. If I'm in desperate straights I'm not opposed to opening up a can of sweetened condensed milk.
I'm like an alcoholic, but for sugar. It doesn't take much for me to fall off of the old wagon.

I only purchase the snack-size because I already know chips are my weakness.

I feel your pain. I have found that if I have them in my house, I will seek them out and eat them until they are gone just so they are not in my house. Bad Move. I also like the kettle ones emoticon If you can, throw the rest of them out, and start fresh tomorrow. I also had a downfall today. I counted all the bad calories and realized I had a few calories left for lunch (work 3rd shift), I had a salad and carrots and I'm satisfied now. Best of luck to you! emoticon

Oh no! Potato chips are my downfall... the crunchy kettle chip kind, of course. So an open bag around me is a terrible idea. When I have to have some, I get a small bowl and fill it, then wrap everything else up tight and shove it into the back of the pantry. Usually my natural sense of sloth keeps me from bothering to go back for seconds!!
But yes, each day is a new start to avoid the mindless munching. I like to set my calorie differential report to WEEKLY for just such events.... emoticon
    Best wishes to you!
