With a new month just about to begin, I'd like to set some goals for August. Some are on-going and others I've been working on for a while.
On-Going Habits/Goals to Continue (and reason why it's important):
+Make bed every day (it signals that the day has started and makes my room look more orderly). I've been doing this for over a year and it makes a HUGE difference in peace of mind!
+Scrape tongue every morning before eating or drinking anything (clears out the gunk that's collected over the course of a day. It's an Ayurvedic practice that balances the mouth.) Been doing this for about 2 months now. LOVE IT!
+Don't use cotton swabs to clean inside ear (this is SUCH a hard habit for me to break! I LOVE cleaning my ears and it's really quite bad for the ear canal.)
+Read every day (not too difficult because I love to read, but sometimes it's nice to remind myself to do it!)
+Do something creative everyday, be it cooking, writing, drawing, or playing guitar)
+Do something to improve the world each day, whether by signing a petition, recycling, listening to someone in need, or learning about an important cause.
Habits/Goals to Develop and Maintain (and Hopefully Develop into On-Going Habits/Goals):
+1 hour of exercise, 6 times per week (I really need to be exercising this much for weight loss and for stress relief.) I've managed to average about 30-45 minutes, 3-5 times per week, now it's about taking that next step.
+Planning ahead for meals for nutrition and budget reasons
+Get outside every day
+FLOSS EVERY DAY
+Practice gratitude
Have a great day, everyone!
