August Goal Check In

My last blog post was about setting some goals/habits for the month of August. As today is August 4th, I thought I would do a little check in since Friday. Here are the goals/habits:
1) 1 hour of exercise, 6 times per week
2) Plan ahead for meals
3) Get outside
6) Make bed
7) Scrape tongue
8) no Qtipping ears!
10) creative acts
11) Improve the world
I was at a wedding this weekend, so many of these were hard to do. I did dance for hours on Saturday at said wedding, so I'm counting that for my exercise! I wasn't able to plan ahead but did make it to the grocery store last night...will make all meals at home starting this evening. I've spent very little time outside, but I hope to take a walk/run this evening after a dentist appointment.
I'm SO BAD about flossing! I will be flossing today as I have to go to the dentist, but I will try REALLY REALLY REALLY hard to do this one. It's kind of a big deal.
I've made my bed every day and scraped my tongue every day except for Sunday (forgot scraper and didn't want to ask the nice Dutch lady at the B&B for one.) Not cleaning my ears with swabs is a real challenge, but so far, so good!
I have managed to read each day and even played guitar last night. Felt so good to sing and strum! And lastly, what have I done lately to improve the world? Well, I got caught up on some work for an environmental group I work with and composted all of my kitchen scraps. Hopefully I can find something else for today.
Although I'm in a good mood today, I'm feeling a tad bit weary about my life in general. I hope I'm not fixating on goals like these to avoid having to actually think about what's working/not working in my life and what I can do to make positive changes. Without going into great detail, this is not where I thought I would be at 30, but I don't know where I should be. I haven't quite made it to that part yet. Oh well, hope to figure it out sooner than later!
