Adaptation - The name of today's game

I was thinking about a vlog that MOSTMOM1 posted yesterday while I was walking this morning with my dog, Lilly. I am going to adopt her language about "tweeking" what I am doing to keep moving in the direction I want. I know it will be more helpful to me to think in those terms, rather than imagining that I have "lost my way," and I need to "get back on track."

Small modifications and adaptations to what I am doing, so that my actions best fit what is happening in my life today...that is what I will focus on. Yesterday's solutions may not be the best fit for today. Presence of mind, focus, adaptability, and resolve are the ingredients I have to work with. So, I will.

    It's good to acknowledge how far you've already come. Sometimes our "slip ups" cause us to have amnesia about our success.

    I love that yoga calls itself a "practice" -- the reminder that we're never perfect or finished. You are practicing healthy habits.

    Great point! Adapting is survival and growing. And it keeps you moving. It's raining hard here so will do some inside stuff instead of the planned walking.
