Vacation Setbacks

Tuesday, August 19, 2014

I haven't written in a bit - just got back from vacation. Had a really good time, but I absolutely hated the way I ate. When you need to follow a budget, when you don't have access to your usual kitchen tools (even though you had a mini kitchen), it's just so easy to eat what's convenient.

Now that I'm home, all I want is homemade foods. I want real foods. I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine again. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and see what the damage is. Got in this morning, so knew better than to weigh today. I could really feel the fluid retention after being on the plane.

I hope that this fall I can get going on a much healthier diet. My goal is to eat more real food, and much less processed food.

Good for you! I think we all must find a way to continue on but we also are living a real life that includes vacations, birthdays, weddings, family gatherings etc.
It is wonderful that you missed the good healthy stuff!

looks like you've trained yourself right. Your body and mind crave good stuff more than junk. I'm jealous, and hope to get there soon myself!
