Enjoyed our morning at worship. The pastor pulled out another great sermon and had everyone laughing at his antics with the office goldfish. Each 5th Sunday they have a combined worship and then a potluck following. It was a lot of fun today.
Once home my first goal was getting Isaac's new "list" book put together so we can begin adding papers to it. Tim is going to work with him to write lists of how a task/event needs to look and what the consequences are if not followed. These will be from everything from getting ready for bed to co-op, etc. It has really helped with school and I have him read that list that he wrote before we begin so he knows he had a part in creating the consequences and expectations.
Next came typing in my handwritten notes for the counseling appointment on Wednesday afternoon. I confirmed that this counselor does have good awareness of autism so my goal is to zero in on that phase of my world because it does cause me the greatest amount of stress. While writing all of these notes I told Tim I could see why I am so frustrated all the time....this is a lot of stuff to live through every day as the majority of it is aimed at me. It's a start.
Then I worked on school plans for the next couple of weeks so I can spend less time each weekend organizing the work. Now I can just tweak it and spend time here and there adding a week to keep it going. I use a computer program to track it all so that makes it much easier.
Now I'm watching "Randy to the Rescue" and Sparking. Nice having nothing else that has to be attended to! I even added a couple new books to my Kindle thinking I will start building in more reading time.
Tomorrow: school with the kids, making a crockpot of soup and then whatever I want to do! Whoo hoo! Tim plans to be working on the yard shed and the kids will be helping with painting the walls. The house might be somewhat quiet!
