Too much

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

It is like this, I wanted to go for a walk this morning, 2 miles round the block I thought no problem. I did it and felt good afterwards.

So good I decided to do this weeks 5k virtual walk, big mistake that as it was too far. The route did not let me take a short cut home so it was keep going. Now after (or still trying to get over the flu) that was not a good idea. So just to get home I had to keep going and finish.

I managed to get home but my time sucked 8 minutes over my best time a time I was doing two years ago.

Two good things:
I finished
I have something to aim for doing next weeks 5k.

Hope you had a chance to fill the cupboards and get in some rest along with exercise. I want to get in 13K steps a day again with my walking so I am ramping up the walking this week and making sure I am active and not sedentary unless I am sleeping!

    Happy Weekend~ emoticon

I was just thinking this, you are still recovering from your flu so give yourself a little break on the time factor. I walk round my neighborhood quite a bit so I can get a little bored with it so sometimes I use the treadmill if I am struggling with steps. I am about to do a half hour outside in a bit here! This time of year I need to do my morning walks until baseball is up and then I have more breathing room in the evenings!

This week I am working at just getting more consistent with my walks and next week I'll worry about getting in the 10k+ for 5 days~

Uh oh! You probably still don't have your strength back just yet after being sick. Get some rest & take it slow the next few days.
